2255 W. Roscoe Ave.
Chicago, IL 60618

Located in the heart of Roscoe Village, Musical Magic has long been a neighborhood institution for Chicagoans with small children. Known for their energetic music and movement classes and their bright, mural-filled space, this local business caters specifically to families with children aged newborn through four years old. Musical Magic’s classes are led by skilled artists and musicians, who use puppets, shakers, and other age-appropriate props to encourage socialization, listening skills, and rhythm development. In addition to class offerings grouped by age, Musical Magic is also a beloved indoor destination for birthday parties.

Owner Katie Jeep is incredibly passionate about the arts, and believes the opportunity to introduce Roscoe Village’s littlest citizens to the joy found through music is of utmost importance. The neighborhood agrees—Musical Magic has been fostering creativity in families for nearly two decades.

Musical Magic encourages learning and growth through participation in class sessions, most of which are 7-9 weeks long. Currently, Musical Magic is accepting registration for their Winter Session, which begins on January 7. To learn more about registration, class schedules, birthday parties, or to sign up for a free preview class, visit Musical Magic’s website here.

Planning your visit: street parking is free on this section of Roscoe—no meters, no permit parking. If traveling via public transportation, Musical Magic is best accessible from the Paulina Brown line stop (a 5-block walk) or the #49 Western bus.
